My name is Felix-Marie Badeau and I’m the “fmb” in fmBfit :0)
I’ve been involved in the fitness industry for over 20 years and have been a personal trainer for the better part of 18 years. I am registered with the BCRPA (the governing body for fitness professionals in British Columbia) and I am an IDEA personal trainer. I was a Certified Fitness Consultant through the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology but I’ve been doing this long enough that that designation no longer exists!
I started out in the fitness industry by training to do group fitness classes. I casually taught classes for a few years before I realized that I wanted to do something a bit more personal – working with people one-on-one. That’s when I really fell in love with fitness.
I began my career as a personal trainer by bringing fitness into the homes of those whose circumstances didn’t allow them to visit the gym. As my skills deepened I eventually moved to Calgary and to Heavens Fitness (now Heavens Elevated Fitness) where I became the Assistant Director of Personal Training. During this time I wrote the book Women and Weights – the Manual and worked with Dr. Robin Dohlman to co-author the book Five Common Injuries – What You and Your Client Can Do to Rehabilitate Them. I also had the great privilege of making several appearances on the A-Channel’s Big Breakfast and Global’s News at Noon.
I specialize in functional wellness and debunking fitness myths. No hype. No fads. Just fitness, fun and a little sass!
